A Letter From Europe

Rubiah             : Did you have a lot of work today at the office?

Ahmad             : Yes, the Manager's going to Europe next week.

Rubiah             : Oh! A letter came for you today from England.

Ahmad             : Did you open it?

Rubiah             : Yes, but i couldn't understand a word. It's in English. I think it's from your friend, Mr Simpson.

Ahmad             : Where is it?

Rubiah             : I put it on the table in your study. I'll fetch it.

Ahmad             : You're right, it is from Simpson

Rubiah             : What does he say?

Ahmad             : He's happy to hear Umar is going to study abroad. And has invited him to stay at his house during the holidays.

Rubiah             : That's very kind of him, but i still feel Umar is too young to go. Besides it's so cold in England.

Ahmad             : I never heard of any Indonesian students dying of cold there yet.

Rubiah             : He'll need so many clothes. How do we know to buy him?

Ahmad             : Just don't buy him any Sarongs!

Rubiah             : You just joke and i have to do all the work.

Ahmad             : He'll be 14 next month. He's almost a man. And if you want to go to an English University, he'll have to improve his English while he is still young.
